The City of Onkaparinga wants community input about the big events it hosts throughout the year.
It is looking for ideas about making events more appealing to more people suggestions for the future.
The council currently runs five major annual events and many smaller events.
They include Tour Down Under parties and the Australia Day Bush Fair in January; Beachside Food and Wine Festival in February/March; Trucks on Tour in October; and Onkaparinga Christmas Pageant in November.
The council believes its events play an integral role in enhancing the lives of its residents.
They help to improve community wellbeing, build social capacity, instil a sense of community pride and create vibrant places.
Along with the community and social benefits, major events showcase and promote the city, creating repeat visitation, overnight stays and injecting money into the local economy.
The council has created an anonymous survey on its YourSay page to allow residents to have say on future events.
The survey results will be presented to council for consideration in mid-2023.
