Nominations have opened for Alexandrina’s annual Heritage Awards in conservation, research or projects undertaken in the region.
Presented in May, the awards highlight how important heritage is to local history.
They showcase the region and demonstrate innovation and best practice in celebrating its heritage.
Nominations can be made at any time throughout the year but, to be eligible nominations must be received six weeks prior to the date of the awards event.
This is held in May as part of the SA History Festival.
Nominations received after the cut-off date will be considered in the following year’s event.

For those with a special interest and relevant skills in heritage matters there is still time apply to join the council’s Heritage Advisory Committee.
Expressions of Interest remain open until 5pm on Friday 3 February.
