Watch out for walkers when the iconic team hiking challenge Coastrek visits the Fleurieu this week, with the Horseshoe Bay car park will closing from 3pm today, Wednesday 3 September to accommodate the event.
The Port Elliot car park will remain closed until the end of the fundraising walk, on the afternoon of Friday 5 September.
The walkers will enjoy ocean views while completing either a 20km or 35 km route between Parsons Beach and Port Elliot, following a scenic route along the Heysen Trail.
This year’s trek aims to raise $440,000 for mental health charity Beyond Blue and so far has raised almost $300,000.

As well as the car park closure, a bus loading and pick-up zone will be set up along a section of Basham Parade. For further details and to view a map of the affected area, visit the Alexandrina Council website.
