South Australian Author Malcom Worthing will talk about his book Birds of the Hindmarsh River Trail at Victor Harbor Library on Wednesday 29 September.

The first bird book specific to Victor Harbor, it covers more than 80 bird species and features more than 120 colour photographs.

Local wildlife artist Wendy Jennings contributed 15 illustrations to this essential field guide, which highlights threat to these birds and ways to help them.

Passionate about local wildlife from a young age, Malcolm is currently studying a combined degree featuring a Bachelor of Science (Honors) (Biodiversity & Conservation) and a Bachelor of Design & Technology Innovation (Plant Biology) at Flinders University.

At his talks he will discuss the rich biodiversity found along the Hindmarsh River Trail; the intricate plant life, including numerous edible species, and the local wildlife.

There will be two sessions, at 4pm and 5pm, offered as part of the South Australian

Nature Festival.

Books will be available for purchase. Bookings are essential via Eventbrite.
