A hoon driver will face court after being caught in the act by police at Aldinga last night.

About 6.50pm on Tuesday 5 April, police spotted a white Holden Commodore utility performing a sustained wheel spin in on Port Road.

Police stopped and drug tested the driver who allegedly returned a positive result to cannabis. He was issued with a driver direction not to drive for 24 hours.

A 21-year-old man from Moana was subsequently reported for misuse of a motor vehicle, and his car was impounded and also defected. He may face further charges of drug driving following results of a forensic analysis.

Aldinga Police say they will continue to target bad driver behaviour and take a zero tolerance approach to such deliberate and dangerous driving.
