Hannah from Wattle and Wonder will discuss how to turn your backyard into a haven for local wildlife.
This workshop covers the fundamentals of habitat gardening with a big focus on what specific native plants will attract local wildlife to the garden.
Discover the best food and shelter species to plant for wildlife and find out where to source local native plants.
Learn about the different habitat elements that specific local native plant species provide and how to test the soil pH and soil texture in the garden.
Autumn is the perfect time for planting and conservation can start in our own backyards, by turning gardens into ecological refuges.
Workshop leader Hannah is passionate about the bush and caring for the environment.
She has studied conservation and land management, horticulture, permaculture, landscape design and has a diploma of environmental sciences.
