Cedric Varcoe will offer a Ngarrindjeri language workshop at the Victor Harbor library, as part of National Reconciliation Week.

He is a contemporary artist, painting the creation stories of his Ngarrindjeri lands and waters, from the lower River Murray and the Lower Lakes to the Coorong, the south coast to Kangaroo Island.

In the spirit of Reconciliation Week, learn from Cedric some Ngarrindjeri words and phrases.

This year marks twenty years of Reconciliation Australia and almost three decades of the Australian formal reconciliation process. 

In 2021, reconciliation is more than just raising awareness and knowledge. 

This year’s theme is More Than a Word. Reconciliation takes action and urges the reconciliation movement towards braver and more impactful action.
