The injured hiker is still in the park and SA Ambulance Special Operations, the SES and SAPOL are working together towards her extraction.
It is understood that she has injured her ankle and will need to be airlifted from the site to avoid a steep, slippery and hazardous lift for rescuers.

Emergency services are attending to an injured hiker in the Deep Creek Conservation Park.
Emergency service personnel will remain with the hiker overnight.
A retrieval operation will take place tomorrow morning.
The temperature in the area is expected to dip to 10 degrees overnight.
