Breaking the Bias and Gender Equality for a Sustainable Future is the focus of International Women's Day in 2022, with celebratory events across the Fleurieu.
Yankalilla’s Club Fleurieu kicks off early with a breakfast on Friday 4 March from 8.30am.
Guest speakers will address the contribution of women and girls around the world, who are working to change the climate of gender equality and build a sustainable future.
Tickets are $35 with $5 going to support environmental projects; there will be a raffle to support Fleurieu Environment Centre.
The event will feature a cooked breakfast with a Mimosa on arrival. Tickets available from Club Fleurieu, Maudie & Fox and Fleurieu Environment Centre.
Strathalbyn Football Club will host a dinner on Tuesday 8 March, from 6pm.
Mayo MP Rebekha Sharkie, entrepreneur Trudy Dickson and safe workplace advocate Chelsey Potter will tell of how they broke the bias in their career with tips and strategies for women of all ages.
It will feature a sumptuous meal, lovingly created by a Strathalbyn business woman using local produce.
