Youth development grants are on offer from the City of Victor Harbor to help engage, inspire and empower local young people.
The council says young people represent the future of our region, which is why it wants to support innovative projects that promote positive impacts for them.
It is now accepting applications from community groups, youth agencies and organisations based on the Fleurieu Peninsula with an upcoming youth development project.
The aim is to support projects carried out by individuals, groups and organisations that contribute to a vibrant community culture.
The City of Victor Harbor has allocated a total of $30,000 to the program.
The council wants to support initiatives that increase opportunities for youth leadership within the community; empower young people to be resilient and resourceful; and Inspire young people to achieve their potential.
It will favour larger projects of up to $30,000 with strategic and stated outcomes for young people aged 12-25, but will also consider smaller projects requiring less funding.
Applications for youth development grants must be received by 5pm on Tuesday 2 August. For more information visit the council website.
