Island art on show at the Wine Centre

The work of Kangaroo Island artists is on show this month at the National Wine Centre in Adelaide as part of the SALA Festival.

The official opening of the How Do We Love Thee? Kangaroo Island...To Distant Shores exhibition was on Sunday 7 August.

Twenty-three talented artists showcase their diverse strengths in Fine Art Kangaroo Island's I2th presentation of new island-inspired artwork.

In an ancient landscape Kangaroo Island's wild and distant shores set the Island apart, a resting place for wanderers and voyagers, and refuge for those that call it home.

Featured artists are: Audrey Harnett, Cecilia Gunnarsson, Dave Clarke, Deborah Odell, Fred Peters, Gay De Mather, Jane Evans, Janet Ayliffe, Jennifer Macauley, Kathryn Lewis, Kenita Williamson, Maggie Welz, Melanie Les, Merril Hansen, Michele Lane, Mishka Ammann, Patti Blucher, Peggy Rismiller, Quentin Chester, Rose Walker, Rosemary Whitehead and Sara Hourez.

The exhibition continues until 28 August in the Gallery & Vines Corridor of the National Wine Centre. Entry is free of charge.
