Josephine takes the cake

It will be BYO cake for author Josephine Moon’s online discussion of her latest novel, The Cake Maker's Wish, hosted by the City of Onkaparinga’s Our Library at Home.

It is the story of single mum and passionate cake maker Olivia and her young son Darcy, who uproot their lives in Tasmania to join 'The Renaissance Project' in the Cotswolds.

The initiative to breath life back into the dying English village sees Olivia open a cake shop there - Rambling Rose Fine Cakes.

Writing this novel turned Josephine into a real-life foodie. She won first place at the Royal Brisbane Show for her jam, and came second in Noosa for her Persian love cake - a recipe featured in her novel.

Born and raised in Brisbane, Josephine’s previous books include The Tea Chest, The Chocolate Promise, The Beekeepers Secret, Three Gold Coins and The Gift of Life.

In 2018 Josephine organised the 'Authors for Farmers’ appeal, raising money to assist drought-affected farming communities.

She lives on acreage in the beautiful Noosa hinterland with her husband and son, and a tribe of animals.

Josephine Moon’s author talk will be on Tuesday 21 July between 7pm and 8pm. Register via Eventbrite.
