An enthusiastic crowd gathered at Signal Point Gallery in the Goolwa Wharf Precinct on Sunday 9 December for the release of the ninth Just Add Water (JAW) Alexandrina Arts and Culture Program.
An eclectic array of cultural offerings will be available for the whole community, with more than 200 events scheduled in a range of venues across the entire Alexandrina region.
The 2020 JAW program presents shows in all major towns of the district including Goolwa, Mount Compass, Milang, Port Elliot, Langhorne Creek and Strathalbyn and aims to entertain all age groups and backgrounds.
Events include individual performances, concerts, workshops and school holiday activities, as well as numerous visual art exhibitions and installations at venues and galleries across the Alexandrina region
The variety and breadth of experiences to enjoy in 2020 will be a feast for the senses. Two inspiring exhibitions opened at the Signal Point gallery on the day of the launch. The ‘Found’ and ‘Portrait of a Kangaroo N04 + 1’ exhibitions will remain open until Monday 27 January.
The 2020 JAW Program offers something for everyone, with the chance to discover new cultural experiences and come together to celebrate the diverse community.
The program has an expanded regional program with the Adelaide Guitar Festival, Aquatic April and CabarMAY, which includes five cabaret-style live performances during May.
