The McLaren Vale community has been invited to contribute their ideas on the future of the local hospital site.
The 21-bed McLaren Vale & District War Memorial Hospital closed on 30 June after the board determined it was not financially viable to keep it open.
Management of the site has since been transferred to the James Brown Memorial Trust, which operates not-for-profit aged care provider Kalyra.
Kalyra has committed to maintaining all the services currently operating from the site, except for the former hospital.
These include the op shop staffed by volunteers and the Wellbeing GP Clinic.
It says it intends to use the site to support the health and housing needs of residents of the Fleurieu Peninsula as they age.
A community engagement survey asks what people value about the site and which elements are most important to them.
The hospital board has urged the community to take part in the survey.
Opponents of the merger lodged a legal challenge in the Magistrates Court, in July, challenging the validity of the vote.
In September the matter was referred to the Supreme Court, which is yet to make a determination.
The annual general meeting of the hospital will be held next Wednesday 25 October.
