First Semi-Final (2.15pm Sunday 1 September @ Wisanger)

Reigning premier Kingscote start their premiership defence with a trip to play Wisanger in the knockout first semi-final on Sunday. These two sides have met on three occasions in 2019 with Kingscote being victorious each time by 36 points, 61 points and then in the final minor round by just six points. This last result will give Wisanger confidence it can turn the tables on the Hounds and progress to the Preliminary Final. I’m not so sure though and I think Kingscote will be too focused to try and achieve back-to-back flags. My tip...Kingscote by 15 points.

Second Semi-Final (2.15pm Saturday 31 August @ Western Districts)

A place in the Grand Final will be at stake when the minor premier Western Districts Saints host the Parndana Roosters in the second semi-final tomorrow. The Roosters have been in good form with their only loss in their last five games coming against the Saints in round 14 by 16 points. The Saints have been a bit off the boil recently, having lost their last two games, but they should be well rested after the bye last week. Both these clubs have had their share of premiership glory in the past decade with Western Districts winning in 2017 and Parndana winning six flags in a row between 2008-13. It should be a classic. My tip...Parndana by 10 points.
