As the weather heats up and you’re thinking about hitting the beach don’t forget to be vigilant of your valuables and follow these Crime Prevention tips:

• Keep valuables taken to the beach to a minimum.
• Do not lose sight of your position on the beach and possessions.
• Where possible have someone keep an eye on valuables if you’re going for a swim.
• Lock your mobile phone and utilise security features and apps such as ‘Find My Phone’.
• Ensure vehicles are locked and never leave valuables inside.

If you see someone acting suspiciously at the beach contact police immediately on 131 444 and provide description and direction of travel of the suspect to the call taker.
