After more than three weeks on the run and an epic trip across the Fleurieu on his tiny paws, Kevin the Fox Terrier / Jack Russell cross has finally been found.

Kevin was found last night, and this morning is finally resting on a warm bed and eating treats after a check-up from a vet.

Kevin slipped his collar and ran away from the Goolwa home of a temporary carer on Sunday August 28.

He was then spotted across the Fleurieu as his owner Bianca and her friends tried to find him.

She even shared a recording of her calling his name to Facebook, to help people who saw the nervous and skittish dog.

After Kevin initially disappeared from Goolwa he was spotted at around Middleton, Compass, Sellicks Hill, then Whites Valley and at several times, around the Mount Compass area.

Sightings even came in as far away as Seaford as Fleurieu locals tried to help reunite the little pup and his family.

Then on Sunday September 16 it seemed the trail had gone cold with no sightings of Kevin for several days. His owner said while she was heartbroken she was not giving up.

Then on Monday he was spotted again on Yundi Road near Mount Compass but ran into scrub.

This morning came the great news that he had been found after a trap was set near where he was last seen.

Well done to the Missing Pets of the Fleurieu who kept the search for Kevin going and helped bring him home.

His owner Bianca and her children are now on their way to be reunited with their beautiful dog.

The many sightings of Kevin, showing just how far he travelled in his three weeks on the run.
