Kangaroo Island Marine Adventures has been named in the Top Ten Ethical Wildlife adventures by travel platform Escape.
Its swimming with wild dolphins trip topped the list of international tours and experiences that specialise in conservation and education, with accreditation from a reputable animal welfare organisation.
Escape says ethical adventures focus on animals that are living free, rather than in captivity and not performing for tourists.
“Kangaroo Island Marine Adventures not only uses a propeller-free boat for its three-hour Island Explorer and Dolphin Swim Tour, but works closely with the Dolphin Watch Citizen Science Initiative to monitor the wellbeing of local dolphin pods and whales.”
Phyll Bartram of Kangaroo Island / Victor Harbor Dolphin Watch says skipper Andrew Neighbour and Kangaroo Island Marine Adventures have provided outstanding help, support and sponsorship for almost 20 years.
“Unstinting efforts to work towards cetacean rights, dolphin conservation and habitat protection in the remarkable Mission Blue Kangaroo Island North Coast Hope Spot have been a game changer.”
