Fleurieu Marine Education will host a kids’ beach experience at Ratalang (Basham Beach) Conservation Reserve on Tuesday 3 October.

Coastal custodians is a child-centred beach education and engagement program, suitable for children aged 5-12 years old.

Through fun and games it highlights to children the reasons why they should protect the coastal environment.

The fun, nature-based activity encourages children to explore the coast and learn more about the animals that live on local beaches.

This program is part of the state-wide Nature Festival, which runs from 1 to 15 October and is funded by Alexandrina Council.

Children will need to wear comfortable shoes, hat and sunscreen for the 60 minute session, which starts at 10.30am and costs $5. Book online.
