Onkaparinga Libraries In collaboration with Sustainable Onkaparinga will host a Warndu Native Plants and Food workshop for kids at Aldinga Library on Saturday 19 March.
The workshop has been specially designed for children to learn all about native Australian plants and food.
Warndu founders Rebecca Sullivan and Damien Coulthard will give a hands-on workshop and tasting and exploring the bounty of Australian native plants and foods.
Children will learn about how native plants have been used for over 60,000 years.
Warndu is an Aboriginal owned business with a foundation based on the principle of ‘looking to the past to protect our future.'
The workshop will take place from 10am to 12noon and is suitable for children aged 6 to 12 years.
It costs $20 and children will take home their own seedling to continue learning at home.
Adult supervision is required for the duration of the workshop and bookings are essential via Eventbrite.
