Kingscote and Dudley United played out the second draw of the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) season during round 13 action at Soldiers Memorial Park yesterday. The game was tight throughout with Kingscote holding a slender two-point lead at the last change, before the game finished level at full time, Kingscote 10.7 (67) to Dudley United 9.13 (67). Kingscote’s Paul Green kicked four goals, as did Zak Keir of Dudley United. Best players for Kingscote included Jordan Connell, Zak Siemer, Rory Lovering, Luke Mackie and Tom Mitchell. Dudley United’s best were Sam Willson, Sam Howard, Seb Mcvann, Toby Wheaton and Rory Florance.
Wisanger consolidated second spot on the ladder with a comfortable 108-point win against Parndana. Timmy Turner kicked nine goals in a best-on-ground performance for the Panthers as they won 21.18 (144) to 5.6 (36). Luke Shurven (4), Sam Clifford (2) and Sam Florance (2) were the other multiple goalkickers for Wisanger. Meanwhile, Jesse Gaskin kicked two majors for the Roosters. Joining Turner in the best players for Wisanger were Ezra Foster, Jai Turner, Brodee Williams and Nick Shurven. Parndana was best served by Trad McMulkin, Bailey Gaskin, Zach Trethewey, Eli Kuchel and James Davis.
Western Districts had the bye.
