Kingscote remain in the hunt for a top-two spot after defeating Dudley United by 64 points in a high scoring game at Penneshaw during round 11 action in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) on Saturday. Kingscote had plenty of avenues to goal with Peter Rolfe (5), Riley Mattner (5), Paul Green (4) and Frank Colman (4) their leading goalkickers. Clayton Willson (4) and Kyrrell Barton (3) led the way for the accurate Eagles. Best players for Kingscote included Riley Mattner, Rolfe, Jordan Connell, Jack Grimes and Rory Lovering. Rory Florance, Jack Gurney, Clayton Willson, Zak Keir and Chris Denholm were named as Dudley United’s best players. The final scores were Kingscote 26.11 (167) to Dudley United 17.1 (103).
Wisanger had a huge 192-point win against Parndana to consolidate second spot on the ladder. The Panthers led by 40 points at quarter time, 94 points at halftime and 134 points at the last change, before winning 29.19 (193) to 0.1 (1). Wisanger had 11 different goalkickers including Sam Clifford (6), Sam Snowball (5), Jackson Lockett (4) and Luke Shurven (4). Best players for the reigning premiers were Dusty Cross, Shurven, Liam Sampson, Snowball and Ryan Turner. On a tough day for Parndana, Travis White, Brady Hill and Brodie Havelberg battled hard.
