Kingscote move up to second in Kangaroo Island Football

Kingscote moved up to second spot on the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) ladder after defeating Parndana by 79 points during round seven action in Kingscote yesterday. Kingscote led at every change before winning 21.8 (134) to 8.7 (55). Kingscote skipper Paul Green kicked eight goals in a best-on-ground display for his side. Declan Hardy-Corby was named second best for the Hounds with five goals. Other good players for the home side included Lachlan Summers, Roland Ah Chee and Jordan Connell. James Davis, Justin Carey and Korelle Wintinna kicked two goals each for the Roosters, while their best players included Bailey Gaskin, Ben Gaskin, Wintinna, Zach Trethewey and Trad McMulkin.


Unfortunately due to the cancellation of ferry services, Dudley United had to forfeit their match against reigning premier Western Districts.


Wisanger had the bye.
