Kingscote on the move in KI football

Kingscote moved up to third spot on the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) ladder after defeating Parndana by 19 points during round six action at Kingscote yesterday. Kingscote had the game well in hand after a strong first three quarters to take a 38-point lead to the last change. Parndana kept on trying, kicking four goals to one in the final term, before Kingscote won 10.12 (72) to 8.5 (53). Lachie Ingerson kicked two goals in a best-on-ground performance for the Hounds and he was well supported by Heath McDougall (2 goals), Nicholas Farrugia, Luke Mackie and Paul Green. Zach Trethewey (3 goals), Isaac Bowden, Trad McMulkin, Eli Kuchel and James Davis were named best for the Roosters.


Reigning premier Western Districts kept their unbeaten record intact following a comfortable 62-point win at Wisanger. The Saints led at every change before winning 13.18 (96) to 5.4 (34). Brad Crabb (4), Billy Brind (3) and Oscar Morgan (3) were the multiple goalkickers for Western Districts, while their best players were Joshua Graham, Morgan, Caleb Whittle, Timothy Larcombe and Jack Grimes. Best players for the Panthers included Ezra Foster, Jai Turner, Jesse Rule, Dylan Pearce and Nicholas Berry.


Dudley United had the bye.
