Kingscote still in the hunt for the double chance in Kangaroo Island Football

Kingscote kept the pressure on for a top-two spot following their comprehensive 101-point win at Parndana during round 12 action in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) yesterday. Kingscote led by 35 points at halftime, before kicking a further 12 goals to two in the second half to win 20.9 (129) to 4.4 (28). The Hounds had 10 different goalkickers including Zak Edwards (4), Frank Colman (3) and Tyson Holman (3). Best players for Kingscote included Holman, Edwards, Zak Siemer, Corey Kelly and Blake Florance. Best for the Roosters were Trad McMulkin, Zach Trethewey, Will Stanton, Bailey Mashford and Ben Gaskin.


Western Districts remained undefeated in 2023 after defeating Dudley United by 53 points at Penneshaw yesterday. The final scores were Western Districts 16.11 (107) to Dudley United 8.6 (54). Lleyton Hedges starred up forward for the Saints with eight goals, while Zak Keir kicked three goals for the Eagles. Best players for the Saints included Tate Barrett, Hedges, Josh Graham, Dylan Lockett and Henry Riggs. Dudley United were best served by Sam McLeay, Keir, Rory Florance, Jay Rich and Trae Lovering.
