Kingscote taste victory for the first time this season on KI

Kingscote broke through to win their first game of the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) season with a convincing 53-point victory over Western Districts on Saturday. Paul Green was a star up forward for the Hounds as he slotted eight majors. Anthony Anderson, Rory Lovering, Jordan Connell, Jayden Christophers and Green were the best players for Kingscote. For Western Districts, Dylan Lockett, Tim Larcombe, Henry Riggs, Cameron Florance and Rhys Bullard were their best.


Wisanger ground out a 30-point win over a gutsy Parndana outfit to consolidate second spot on the KIFL ladder. Parndana started well as they kept Wisanger goalless in the opening term to take a 13-point lead at the first break. Wisanger got on top in the second quarter as they kicked five goals to one and took a 12-point lead to halftime. The Panthers kicked six goals to the Roosters three in the second half to win 11.9 (75) to 6.9 (45). Khyal Stead (4), Liam Sampson (3) and Luke Shurven (2) were the multiple goal kickers for Wisanger while Reece Johnston kicked three goals for Parndana. Sampson, Sam Snowball, Paul Bott, Brok Viney-Obst and Stead were best for Wisanger.
