Spectacular kite surfing will be on display at the State Wave Titles at Goolwa Beach next weekend, 4 and 5 December.
Kiteboarding South Australia (KSA) is running the event in partnership with Cabrinha, as part of the Cabrinha National Wave Series.
It has been switched to summer this year, in the hope of warmer weather for competitors and spectators.
The Goolwa Beach Surf Lifesaving Club will host presentations after the event, as well as providing volunteer lifesavers and a rescue boat to ensure safety.
The competition will include divisions for juniors, amateurs, women, men, masters and legends.
This year KSA will trial a new judging system, using a similar to format to the World Surf League.
Come and try sessions will be offered to those wanting to give kiting a go, between 11am and 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday, wind permitting.
The south coast will also see a social kiteboarding and charity event at Milang on 9 and 10 December, hosted by the Milang Regatta Club.
Full details of both events can be found on the KSA website.
