The Kitesurfing State Wave Titles are coming to Aldinga Beach for the first time and will host the state’s best kitesurfers.
As part of this event, Ride Kitesurfing will run free Come and Try activities where you can learn the safety requirements of kitesurfing and have a first-hand experience at flying learner kites.
The event is scheduled for next Saturday 26 June from 12noon, but it is weather dependent and so may be rescheduled to a later date or relocated to Goolwa Beach.
The exact details will be confirmed three to four days prior to the weekend of the event.
The rebuilt Aldinga Bay surf club is set to host the state titles, providing volunteer lifesavers and a rescue boat.
The event includes competitions for juniors, master and legends, as well as the open men’s and women’s divisions, plus a section for amateurs who are new to the waves.
The Come n Try sessions are supported by Onkapringa Council’s HALO (Healthy Active Lifestyles Onkaparinga) program.
