It’s in your hands, take action is the theme of this year’s World Arthritis Day, on Saturday 12 October.
The aim is to raise awareness of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases and to encourage those who have them, their carers, families and the general public to seize every opportunity to take action and make a difference to their quality of life.
Don't miss a chance to take action by attending an information session presented by Arthritis SA in conjunction with the City of Victor Harbor.
The Creaky Knees and Achy Joints seminar will be held at the Victor Harbor library on 24 October from 1-2pm.
The session will cover a range of information including what is arthritis, the three most common forms and advice for living well with arthritis.
Meet one of the Arthritis SA Health Educators and hear about the latest information for managing your arthritis.
Arthritis is the second most common cause of early retirement due to ill health in Australia.
Arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions cost the health system more than $12 billion each year – more than any other group of conditions.
There is no cost to attend the seminar but you should book a place online.
The library is in the Victor Harbor civic centre at 1 Bay Road, Victor Harbor.
