Businesses, schools and community groups in the Onkaparinga area are encouraged to get into the festive spirit and enter a float in this year’s Christmas Pageant.
But there’s no time for lingering under the mistletoe - applications to be part of the 2019 pageant close on Thursday 12 September.
The council-run pageant will this year be held on Sunday 17 November, 2019.
From 10am, the parade of floats will travel down Beach Road at Christies Beach to The Esplanade. There will be a family fun day staged at Rotary Park, on the corner of Beach Road and The Esplanade, from 11am-1pm, with entertainment for young ones and opportunities to meet and have a photo with Santa.
It’s hoped this year’s pageant will be even bigger and better than 2018. Held in perfect weather, the 2018 pageant saw one of the biggest-ever crowds of 8000 lining the streets and about 1500 participants representing 62 community groups.
