A woman was airlifted to hospital in the early hours of this morning, following a head-on crash on Victor Harbor’s ring road.
Multiple emergency services, including the Medstar helicopter retrieval team, were called to the crash site, near the intersection of Armstrong and Day Roads, at around 11.30 last night
Police say a 27-year-old woman from Paradise, who was driving a Toyota RAV4, was trapped for almost an hour before being released from the wreckage.
She was flown to Flinders Medical Centre where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The other driver, a 21-year-old woman from Aldgate, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Flinders Medical Centre to be assessed.
The road was blocked for about two and a half hours until the vehicles were towed from the scene and the site cleared.
Police are now investigating the crash.
