Take a leap back in time with the Zonta Club of the Fleurieu Peninsula for a 60s fashion and music extravaganza on Saturday 29 February.
Chrissie Wright has a passion for collecting retro and vintage clothing and has built a special room to store it all.
A few times a year she brings out her collection to raise funds for a good cause, sharing her joy in the colour and movement of the past and taking her audience on a trip down memory lane.
“My love of this era comes from watching the old movies with my father and loving the music of the era also,” Chrissie says.
DJ Roxy will spin the sounds of the 60s at the show, while duo SweetSpotS will play reminiscent tunes during supper.
“A fun night is what it is all about, but seeing the clothing is so exciting. I have over 650 outfits from hot pants, mini skirts, pant suits, ensembles, magnificent gowns and even nightwear and swim suits,” Chrissie says.
“They come alive when they dance down the catwalk to the wonderful music of the 1960s.”
It all kicks off at 7pm at the McCracken Country Club Convention Centre.
There will be a silent auction and a raffle. Tickets are $50 - available from Swans Pharmacy at 60 Victoria Street or Raine & Horne at 56 Ocean Street, Victor Harbor, or book online.
It includes supper and the show, plus a complimentary drink on arrival.
Proceeds of the night support Zonta International Projects for women and locally - Junction, providing assistance for women and girls in the southern Fleurieu region.
