Learn to preserve tomatoes online

Resilient South and Green Adelaide will present a series of free online simple living workshops, starting today Wednesday 2 March.

The first in the Online simple living series covers tomato passata, making the most of autumn’s abundant tomato harvest.

Learn how to preserve tomatoes at home using regular kitchen equipment.

Sam from Folk of all Trades has been preserving tomatoes for over 10 years, and will give tips and tricks for making this process as quick and easy as possible.

The simple tomato passata video will premiere on Facebook and YouTube at 12 noon, followed by a live Q&A at 12.30.

For anyone unable to make either of these times, the videos will be available to view for up to four weeks afterwards via Folk of all Trades

Monthly videos are planned across 2022 as part of the Simple Living Series:

  • March - Simple tomato passata.
  • April - Winter food gardening.
  • May - Sourdough bread making.
  • June - Chooks as garden helpers.
