The night skies of Victor Harbor will be brighter this year, with South Australia's largest winter festival, Illuminate, spreading its wings south.
The celebration of innovation, art, light, music and technology takes place in Adelaide in July and this year will extend to regional areas.
The South Australian Tourism Commission has partnered with regional councils and award-winning artists to shine a light on South Australia.
Harbor Lights will transform the Victor Harbor foreshore from 26 August to 11 September.
The free event will include a collection of immersive installations, lighting and mind-blowing projections within the natural landscape.
It will feature a hero project called Monuments by Craig Walsh, which aims to challenge traditional expectations of public monuments and the selective history represented in civic spaces.
Illuminate Festival organisers say it is a spectacle of art, light, sound and imagination, daring people to shake off the winter blues and rekindle a sense of wonder.
“Rug up, hit the pavement and follow the light as Illuminate Adelaide takes over the Victor Harbor foreshore.”
