Onkaparinga Council has opened nominations for its 2023 Mayor's Christmas lights competition.

Judges will be looking for the best house and the best street and may also make high commendations and awards for the spirit of Christmas.

Participants will enter the Hall of Fame if their light display has received a Mayor’s Christmas light competition award on two occasions.

All Hall of Fame recipients receive a certificate of recognition and will be featured on the council’s website.

All entrants are encouraged to have their light displays on between 8pm and 11pm during the judging period.

The competition was not held last year as the council was in caretaker mode for the local government elections.
