Listening posts across KI

Kangaroo Island council will hold community listening posts during March and April to enable residents to give direct feedback.

They will provide an opportunity for the community to have a say on the local issues that matter most and what they would like to see improved or changed.

CEO Daryl Buckingham and Kangaroo Island councillors will travel around the island from 5 March to 12 April to connect with the community.

Listening post dates and locations:

  • Kingscote – Wednesday 5 March, 4pm to 6pm (Outside Drakes).
  • Parndana – Saturday 8 March, 9am to 11am (Outside Dave’s Deli).
  • Penneshaw – Saturday 22 March, 9am to 11am (Outside IGA).
  • American River – Saturday 29 March, 9am to 11am (Outside General Store).
  • Vivonne Bay – Saturday 12 April, 9am to 11am (General Store).

The listening posts offer a casual opportunity to share thoughts, ask questions and help shape the future of the island.

There is no need to book and there will be no formal meetings—just open conversation with island decision-makers.
