Local businesswoman up for national awardsCathy Domoney of Miracle-Ready Mindset books and coaching

Cathy Domoney of Miracle-Ready Mindset books and coaching has been named as a finalist for the 2020 AusMumpreneur Awards in three categories: the People’s Choice Making a Difference (Business); Rising Star; and Women will change the world.

The AusMumpreneur Awards, presented by The Women’s Business School, celebrate and recognise Australian Mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation.

The awards are designed to recognise the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their lives and families.

Cathy Domoney is a mother of five, three of whom have autism. She began her business at age 40 after nearly dying giving birth to her last child.

Through her carefully crafted picture books in her Positive Mindset For Kids series she helps children to regain control over negative self-talk and begin to program their minds for inner confidence and success.

Exclusive to these inspirational publications are user-friendly resource sections which can be used to further explore the books, their messages and the important issues discussed in them.

Cathy also mentors female leaders in Australia and internationally on Mindset and Law of Attraction through her online programs and communities. Her mission is to expand minds, connect hearts and start meaningful conversations.

Cathy says she is delighted to be named as a finalist and is proud of her achievements, particularly recently releasing a children’s book series dedicated to an orphanage in Uganda with 100 per cent of book sales going directly to the orphans.

There are many benefits to balancing business and motherhood as Cathy explains, “I am proud that I have built my business around being a full-time mum and that I am here for my children 100 per cent, whilst actively chasing my dreams and doing my part in shifting world consciousness.

"Being a mumpreneur is important to me because I get to live my best life empowering women and children, which gives me so much pleasure. I also get to choose my work/home balance. I love being a mumpreneur, defining success on my terms.”

It can be challenging to be a successful businesswoman whilst raising a large family and Cathy gives this advice for others thinking about starting their own enterprise.

“Just start! I was waiting for a huge chunk of time and energy to fall into my lap! Being outnumbered by kids in the house, and my husband away three out of four weeks in the mines, juggling three auto-immune diseases, this was never going to happen!

"My business started with minutes per day, these added up to hours, which then added up to days, to weeks, to years and then dreams coming true! If I can do it, you can too!”
