Fleurieu Milk Company was a big winner at the 2024 South Australian Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards, presented at the Adelaide Convention Centre at the end of November.
Judges said the business set a new benchmark for industry success.
It took out the Business Improvement Award; the Innovation Award, for businesses with more than 15 employees; and the Judges Choice Award for Business Excellence.
Kangaroo Island Ligurian Bee Company took out the Primary Producer award for businesses with up to 15 employees.
Food South Australia CEO Tori Dixon-Whittle expressed her excitement about this year’s winners.
“These awards are all about celebrating the incredible food and drink businesses that make South Australia so special. They provide an opportunity to recognise their hard work, sustainability efforts, and the exceptional products they bring to the table.
“This year’s winners are truly outstanding, and they show why our state is a global leader in food and beverage.
“All of the finalists deserve recognition for their achievements. The Judges witnessed strong competition and high-quality submissions in categories such as Export, Sustainability & Waste Management, and Innovation categories, areas crucial to the future growth and relevance of South Australia’s food and beverage sector.”
Adelaide Hills producers also did well at the awards, with Beerenberg Family Farm, Harris Smokehouse , Ashton Valley Fresh and Ceravolo Orchards among the winners.
The annual South Australian Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards are presented by Food South Australia with the support of the Government of South Australia through the Department of State Development.
