Food Embassy will host a picnic day celebrating First Nations food and culture at Tooperang on Sunday 3 December.

A Ngarrindjeri welcome to country will start the day, followed by First Nations dancing and song.

The picnic will offer the opportunity to connect with local farmers and producers to purchase local foods on site; hampers can also be pre ordered or people can bring their own.

Local Ngarrindjeri chef Moseses and Manuela from Healthy Sparkles will create local native food delights and tastings. 

At 1pm there will be a series of short talks from six local food identities, farmers and producers - highlighting the innovation and action happening in this special food region. 

The event will run from 11am to 3pm at Peninsula Providore and tickets can be booked online.
