Fleurieu councils have joined a national research project to assess the liveability of local neighbourhoods, with the City of Victor Harbor urging residents to take part.
The 2023 Australian Liveability Census provides a unique opportunity for the community to have a say on the very local issues that matter most.
Taking part in the project by sharing what matters and rating the neighbourhood, residents could influence decisions made by government and the private sector that shape the future of the area.
Whether it’s access to green space, car parking, or improving public safety, the community voice will help guide local decision making and contribute to national research on liveability.
The Liveability Census is held every two years and results are shared with all levels of governments to help them make community-centric planning decisions.
In 2021 more than 32,000 responses were received nationally and this year the target is 50,000.
The survey takes around 15 minutes to complete and is open until 30 June. Find it online.
By taking part participants have the chance to win one of fifty $100 vouchers.
