There have been long lines at Fleurieu COVID-19 testing clinics all day today.
As a result SA Health have just announced that the Aldinga Clinic at the GP Plus Clinic will remain open until 6pm today, instead of closing at the usual time of 4pm.
Chief Medical Officer Nicola Spurrier announced this morning that another 13 people linked to the Parafield cluster had tested positive. The number of cases connected to that cluster is now 17.
CMO Spurrier again urged anyone with any COVID -19 symptoms to get tested. This led to clinics across Adelaide being inundated. Drive-through clinics, including Aldinga, had long lines of people waiting in their cars to get tested all day. At Victor Harbor the line of waiting people stretched past the clinic and around the corner.
Just after 3pm today Premier Steven Marshall also announced the following changes to the state’s emergency declarations. They will be in place from midnight tonight for an initial period of two weeks.
