Loo with a garden view opens to all

Strath Neighbourhood Centre will celebrate its achievements and launch its next project at a garden gala on Saturday 7 May.

Hammond MP Adrian Pederick will officially open the Centre's new all-access toilet at 9am and Alexandrina Mayor Keith Parkes will open its new shed at 10.30am.

The special toilet was bought with a state government grant received almost two years ago, but has only recently been installed due to supply delays.

It is an essential asset to the Community Garden and enhances the Centre’s ability to offer a wide range of outdoor activities to a diverse range of people.

The celebrations will run until 2pm, with the Neighbourhood Centre sharing future plans for the garden and launching its Repair Café.

Andrew Barker from Grow Free will attend and there will be plant sales, a raffle, craft and gardening demonstrations, garden tools and alpaca manure available.

As well as a sausage sizzle, the coffee will be on and the scones will be warm from the oven.

Strath Neighbourhood Centre is at 6 Parker Avenue, in Strathalbyn.
