Billy cart racing will be taken to ultimate levels of silliness next Sunday 6 November when the inaugural Mad Dash Fleurieu rolls down Willunga High Street.

Less about speed and finish times and all about creativity and fun, the very not average billy cart race will happen from 10am to 4pm.

In the silliest race in the state the aim is to cheer on the daftest cart in town as the teams dance, sing, duck and weave down the course.

Laughter and fun are the order of the day, with spectators encouraged to dress up too.

Organisers aim to make the mad dash an annual event of free family fun. 

Their hot tip is to check out the carts before they go down the track, as they may be worse for wear after braving the twists, turns, ramps and obstacles.
