Penny's Hill Estate has temporarily closed its doors for a major redevelopment of the site.

Founded in 1988, the McLaren Vale winery and 23 hectares of vineyards became part of the Randall Wine Group in January 2022.

The group includes Seppeltsfield in the Barossa Valley, which was redeveloped in 2014.

Located on the Main Road between McLaren Vale and Willunga, Penny's Hill Estate features the historic Goss family homestead, Ingleburne.

Its cellar door, restaurant, art gallery and function room have been closed to facilitate the development of a, “family-friendly tourism village”.

It will include a new restaurant, wine, gin, craft beer and whisky, as well as chocolate, ice cream, a bakery and coffee.

The Randall Wine Group expects to hold a grand opening of the new facility in the spring.
