Winter has hit in full force and it is time to turn more than warm thought to those doing it tough.
The Life in a Bag collection period is in the last week of May so now is a good time to start putting together a bag of goodies to show people their community cares.
Life in a Bag aims to show those going through homelessness, domestic violence, or at risk of marginalisation from society that there is hope and they are not alone.
All that is needed is a new non-plastic bag, filled with items that can help make life easier and more comfortable for someone in need.
Suggested items that would be of most use include toiletries, snacks, new warm clothing and treats.
Take the bag to a designated drop off point during the collection period, 21-30 May, and they will be distributed by community coordinators who work with agencies on the front line.
Go to Life in a Bag for more information about how it all works.
Drop off sites on the Fleurieu include:
Harcourts South Coast
Fleurieu Crash Repairs
Port Elliot Physio
Mount Compass Thrifty Link Hardware
Yankalilla Post Office
Goolwa Pharmacy
McLaren Vale Coles
Or message Life in a Bag to find the closest drop off point.
