Police are seeking witnesses to an alleged road rage incident at Aldinga Beach yesterday, Tuesday 6 August.
About 3.30pm on Tuesday 6 August, a white Nissan utility was travelling south on Main South Road when an incident occurred with the driver of a white Toyota utility. The Toyota driver then closely followed the Nissan, gesticulating and driving in a dangerous manner.
The two vehicles stopped on Norman Road, Aldinga Beach where the driver of the Toyota allegedly stabbed the Nissan driver, a 36-year-old man from Sellicks Beach. He sustained a minor puncture wound and was treated at hospital. His injuries are not life threatening.
Southern District patrols attended the scene before going to the suspects home address where he was arrested.
A 50-year-old man from Aldinga Beach was charged with aggravated assault causing harm. The knife allegedly used in the incident was recovered. He will face the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 19 September.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any dashcam footage while travelling along Main South Road between Port Road and Norman Road just before 3.30pm today is asked to contact police.
