Police have arrested a man following a serious assault at Coorong this morning.
Just after 3am Tuesday 21 September police and paramedics were called to a licenced premises on the Princes Highway after reports of a violent altercation between two men.
When emergency services arrived they located the victim with stab wounds to his body. He was transported to the local hospital with serious injuries before being taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where his condition has been assessed as non-life threatening. The suspect, who is known to the victim, left the scene prior to police arrival.
Police located the suspect just before 8.30am at a Coorong address and he has been taken to the Murray Bridge Police Station. The 20-year-old from the Coorong is expected to be charged with attempt murder and will be refused bail.
