A man will face court on Monday after an alleged assault at Strathalbyn on Friday night.
Police and paramedics were called to Berry Smith Drive, Strathalbyn about 7.45pm on Friday 28 April after reports of a collision and an assault.
A dog had been struck and killed by a car. It will be alleged a man then assaulted the driver of the car.
The victim of the assault, a 19-year-old Strathalbyn man, was taken to the Mount Barker Hospital by ambulance with facial injuries but has since been discharged from hospital.
Police arrested the man at the scene, a 31-year-old from Strathalbyn, and charged him with assault causing serious harm. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday 1 May.
