A man has been arrested in a stolen car this morning.

Just before 4.15am police spotted a Mercedes Station Wagon travelling on Victor Harbour Road, Seaford Heights.

Checks revealed the car had been stolen on Saturday 25 February from Torrensville.

Police did not pursue the vehicle and stopped the car on Main South Road, Maslin's Beach and the driver was arrested without incident.

A 27- year-old man from Morphett Vale was arrested for illegal use and is currently being interviewed at Christies Beach Police station regarding the theft of the vehicle.

He was also wanted on an interstate warrant for which he will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today.
