A Sellicks Beach man will face court after he was found in possession of methamphetamine, prescription drugs and a baton.
Just before 8pm, on Thursday 29 April, police were called to the Seaford Shopping Centre on Commercial Road, after a man was seen carrying an extendible baton.
A short time later police patrols located the man in the car-park. On speaking with him he was found in possession of the baton which is classified as a prohibited weapon. He was also found to have a quantity of methamphetamine, a prescription drug and two firecrackers.
The 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug, possession of a prohibited weapon and unlawful possession of a prescription drug. The man was also issued with a 'on the spot fine' for possession of the fireworks.
A 19-year-old man from Aldinga Beach who was in company with the arrested man was reported possessing a prohibited weapon after he was also found in possession of torch which was also a taser.
Both men will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court at a later date.
